De La Salle will be without its head tactician in its first game against Ateneo next Sunday after Aldin Ayo was ejected in their match against University of the East.

Ayo was thrown out at the 1:21 mark of the second quarter of the Green Archers’ 84-78 win after a run-in with a referee, incensed by a call involving Thomas Torres, who appeared to have been shoved by Bartolome in a scuffle for the ball.

The Green Archers’ mentor confronted a referee and looked to push a pair of glasses belonging to assistant Siot Tangquincen to the face of the official.

FEATURED STORIES

Owing to the automatic one-game suspension after an ejection, Ayo will miss the first meeting of the rivals in the UAAP Season 79 on Sunday.

It wasn’t the first time he got ejected in a ball game.
