Seahorses rout Blue Royals, grab lead in ISAA basketball

Five players erupted in double figures as defending champion PATTS College of Aeronautics routed rival La Consolacion College of Manila, 87-51, in the 8th Inter-Scholatic Athletic Association men’s basketball tournament at Manila Tytana Colleges Gym in Pasay City.
Jayson Orada and Neilmore Cayson spearheaded the well-oiled offense of the Seahorses with 17 points apiece, while Jestoni Loyola and Joshua Diaz erupted with 15 and 11 points, respectively. MVP Jhon Paul Manansala contributed 10 points.
PATTS stretched its winning streak to eight games following an opening-day loss to LCCM at Mall of Asia Arena.
LCCM dropped to 7-2 win-loss cards. Both the Seahorses and the Blue Royals are already assured of the twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four which will start on October 19.
Philippine Women’s University and host St. Dominic College of Asia also bolstered their positions for semifinal sports by downing their respective rivals.
PWU tripped FEATI U, 66-48, while SDCA edged MTC in a thrilling encounter, 73-72.
