Far Eastern University is enjoying a surge of dominance lately in the UAAP with a six-game winning streak, and Jojo Trinidad thinks it’s working wonders for the team’s confidence.

Trinidad said the Tamaraws’ turnaround from a subpar 1-2 card to the no. 2 spot with a 7-1 card after the 59-48 dismantling University of Santo Tomas speaks volume of their confidence.

“We need to focus on our improvements. In this win streak, we believe we’re a good team,” said Trinidad at Mall of Asia Arena. “We have to be consistent and keep working to improve the game.”

But amid the winning run, head coach Nash Racela is consistently reminding his players to not let their guard down.

“At this stage of the tournament, we should be concerned about our improvements as a team,” said Racela. “My concern is us believing that we are already a good team because we’ve been winning. There could be complacency on our part.”

“We always remind the players that we could use games like these to work on a lot of things.”

FEU has held its opponents to 32 percent shooting and had a point differential of 4.57.

Only La Salle has a better win streak with its 8-0 start still waiting to be blemished.
