Champion Jessie Vargas was the first to assert his offense as the challenger Manny Pacquiao returns to boxing after he announced his retirement back in April.
Vargas used his reach advantage over the shorter Pacquiao at Thomas & Mack Center to start things off in the fight for the WBO World welterweight championship.
