World champions collide in Clark

Duathletes from all over the globe, including three world champions, will compete in the Maybank Powerman Philippines World Series on Dec. 3 and 4 in Clark, Pampanga.

Two-time world champion Gael Le Bellec, three-time world champion Emma Pooley and reigning world champion Seppe Odeyn will lead the 10-kilometer run, 60K bike and 10K run event.

Last year’s maiden race in Bataan saw 700 finishers.  Le Bellec won in 2 hours, 57 minutes and 22 seconds.

Powerman Philippines also serves as qualifier for the World Championships slated next year in Switzerland.  Part of the proceeds will fund the Batang Tri Grassroots program.  Vanessa B. Hidalgo
