Kevin Durant might have left the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors this off-season, but his love and generosity for the community remains.

The one-time NBA MVP donated $57,000 to Positive Tomorrows, the state’s only school that caters to homeless children, according to Michael Lee of Yahoo Sports.

The non-profit organization also disclosed that the seven-time All-Star’s contribution will be used to buy a new  land on which the school will be built.

Durant did not identify the specifics behind his donation, but the lanky forward appears to hold the foundation in high regard as evidenced by his willingness to get involved with them even after his departure from the city.

Most OKC fans, meanwhile, still hold a grudge against their former franchise player, but his latest gesture proves he’s still a positive influence in the community.  Khristian Ibarrola
