Surging Beermen still not in peak form, says Ross
Defending champion San Miguel is primed, yet again, for another title run in the PBA Philippine Cup as evidenced by its four-game winning streak, which right now is the longest in the league.
The Beermen’s 5-1 record is also the best in the league with TNT and Rain or Shine both a game behind them, but point guard Chris Ross warned San Miguel has yet to achieve peak performance.

“Hopefully, we want to peak at the right time.”
San Miguel is the hottest team in the league right now with TNT and Phoenix the other two teams that are on a winning run having won two in a row.

Ross added the Beermen had to end the year on a positive thought with a long eight-day break looming. San Miguel returns to action against Blackwater on Jan. 6.
“We wanted to end the year right and go with a win, try to stay at the top of the standings,” said Ross. “You don’t want to go to the New Year on a loss. It’s a huge morale boost for us.”
