San Sebastian gets 7th straight win, routs Perpetual
San Sebastian maintained its immaculate slate in the NCAA Season 92 women’s volleyball tournament after brushing off University of Perpetual Help in three sets, 25-22, 25-13, 25-13, Wednesday at San Juan Arena.
The Lady Stags improved to a league-leading 7-0 but head coach Roger Gorayeb warned that his team should never be too complacent with still two games remaining in their schedule.
Article continues after this advertisement“The team’s morale is high, as it should be, but it’s hard if it becomes too high,” said Gorayeb.
“If that happens, you would expect too much from yourself and that’s too risky. We should keep it in moderation.”
Grethcel Soltones was unstoppable in offense as she unloaded 19 points, 18 coming off spikes, to lead San Sebastian while Joyce Sta. Rita and Katherine Villegas combined for 14 points.
