If Manny has Jinkee, Shane has Bella
LAS VEGAS—Behind every boxer’s success is a beautiful woman.
Take the case of both Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley who will tangle for the WBO welterweight crown on Saturday.
Pacquiao, the eight-division world champion, has wife Jinkee by his side while Mosley, a former three-division titlist has the beauteous Bella Gonzales holding his hand.
Naturally, both are rooting for their man.
Like Manny, however, Jinkee is reserved. She rarely talks about his fights, but makes sure that she’s around to soothe Manny’s tired muscles.
Bella, a model of Cuban and Spanish descent, is more vocal.
She predicted Shane will win by knockout before the eighth round in a recent Fighthype interview.
And Bella isn’t entirely clueless about the Sweet Science.
Her father, it turns out, is a former member of the vaunted Cuban Olympic boxing team.
