Tubid: My heart is still Ginebra but San Miguel is my home
Ronald Tubid is in an awkward situation.
For one he’s been an integral part of San Miguel’s current dominance in the PBA Philippine Cup, and another he’s been part of the Ginebra squad that last won a Philippine Cup.

“My heart is still Ginebra since I left the team,” said Tubid Wednesday at the pre-Finals press conference for the PBA Philippine Cup at Sambokojin in Eastwood. “My heart is at Ginebra but I have found my home in San Miguel.”
Tubid won two titles with the Gin Kings, one was their last Philippine Cup conquest and the other was the 2008 Fiesta Cup win where he won co-Finals MVP with Eric Menk, but has since collected three with the Beermen.

“It’s a weird feeling because some of the guys like Jayjay and Mark are my best friends and they are the ninong [godfathers] of my kids and now we’re going to face each other,” said Tubid. “It could’ve been okay if this was the semifinals, but this is the Finals.”
