Arellano deserved NCAA cheerleading title, says Perpetual coach
Perpetual Help Perp Squad coach Ruf del Rosario said he had no hard feelings after losing the cheerleading title to “best friend” and Arellano head coach Lucky San Juan on Thursday.
The Perps squad was gunning for a record 10th title in the competition but its 199.5 points paled in comparison to the Chiefs Squad’s 218.

Despite the loss, del Rosario felt their school’s community was still proud of their semifinal finish.
“Even though we still lost, we gave the Perpetualites the happiness and I felt that they still accepted us, champions or not,” said del Rosario. “They really accepted us and they kept on cheering.”
