PSC to turn Baguio unit into nat’l training hub
BAGUIO CITY—Plans are afoot to convert the existing Philippine Sports Commission facilities inside the Teachers Camp here into a national training center.
PSC chair Butch Ramirez bared this Tuesday during the launch of the Philippine Sports Institute for the Northern Luzon cluster.
“This is ideal, we can have eight to 10 sports housed here with good cool environment,” said Ramirez.

“I saw a sports center in Shanghai with a big dome that houses 10 to 12 sports and took P5 billion to P10 billion to build,” said Ramirez.
Even with the planned conversion of the facilities here, however, Ramirez said the PSC isn’t backing down on the plan to build a national training center in Pampanga.
