Abad heads Davao winners

Danna Mariella Abad stood out with two titles in the second leg of the 19th Head junior tennis satellite circuit at Flores Village Tennis Club in Davao over the weekend.

Abad subdued Winona Cabardo twice—6-3, 6-2, in the 16-and-under girls’ singles final and 6-2, 6-3, in 18-U.

Andre Kenny Sing also shone with a 6-1, 6-2, victory over Cedric Pamplona in the 12-U boys’ singles.

Davao’s Joji Taketomi whipped John Rey Litang, 4-1, 4-1, for the 10-U unisex title. —VANESSA B. HIDALGO
