‘Govs’ cup just another title chase’
Even though they will be targeting to complete a rare PBA Grand Slam, San Miguel Beer coach Leo Austria wants to treat the coming Governors’ Cup just like all the conferences he and his Beermen have played in.
“It should be just another tournament, just another championship to be won,” Austria told the Inquirer over the phone on Tuesday. “It’s the logical thing, because if we win, the Grand Slam comes with it.”

“We need time to recover from minor injuries,” Austria said without going into details. “After seeing how hard the players played, they deserve a two-week break.”
Wendell McKines will be the Beermen’s import. He has been here for close to a month now.
