Junior Blu Girls salvage 10th place
The Philippine Junior Blu Girls split their final matches, repeating over Dominican Republic, 2-0, before bowing to Mexico anew, 3-5, to finish 10th out of 16 teams in the 2017 WBSC Junior Women’s Softball World Championship in Clearwater, Florida.
The Blu Girls shut out the Dominicans behind the heroics of pitcher Sierra Lange, who allowed only three hits to strike out the opponents.
