Batang Pinoy up in Dumaguete
Besides finding raw talents in the provinces, the Batang Pinoy has also been designed to keep the youth away from illegal drugs.
Philippine Sports Commission Chair Butch Ramirez and Dumaguete City Mayor Ipe Remollo signed a memorandum of agreement on Monday for the organization and hosting of the BP Visayas leg on Sept. 23 to 29.
The Dumaguete City meet will gather the best athletes 15 years old and below from the Visayas. It serves as the qualifying tournament for the BP national championships next year.

Dumaguete will take care of the accommodation of participants, security, local transport, medical personnel and other logistical requirements while the PSC will provide the funding, technical support and equipment.
