Amateur Kim steals spotlight from pros
While the pros were slugging it out, South Korean amateur Tom Kim sneaked in a four-under 67 Friday and vaulted to the top of the ICTSI Riviera Classic at the Langer course in Silang, Cavite.
Kim birdied two of the last four holes to pace Clyde Mondilla, who fired a one-over 72, by two shots heading into the fourth and final round of the $100,000 event serving as the third leg of the PGT Asia Tour.
In the resumption of second round play early morning, Kim fired a 69 that boosted his 54-hole total to a seven-under 206.

At third spot is Michael Bibat, who bogeyed the par-5 16th for a 71 and 209 total.
Also in contention is former club pro Marvin Dumandan, who shot his third straight 70 for a 210 aggregate, four strokes off the pace. —ROY LUARCA
