LA Galaxy, 4, PH Azkals, 1
MANILA, Philippines – Adam Cristman scored on a header in the 62nd minute for a 4-1 lead for the Los Angeles Galaxy over the Philippine Azkals at the Rizal Memorial Stadium Saturday.
Cristman linked up with Landon Donovan for the goal.
Robbie Keane made it 3-1 for LA Galaxy just a minute into the second half. Ireland’s all-time leading scorer, also delivered for the Galaxy in their 1-0 victory over Indonesia Wednesday.
Article continues after this advertisementMike Magee latched onto a pass by Donovan in the 39th minute, following up David Beckham’s curling strike in the 20th minute both in the first half.
Beckham, nearly scored again on a free kick if not for Azkals’ keeper Eduard Sacapano’s timely save.
Earlier, Phil Younghusband pulled one back for the home side with a left-footed strike in the 40th minute of the first half.
