Tangub, Baulete score PPS double

Eric Tangub snared two boys’ crowns while Rovie Baulete lived up to her top billing as they swept the top two divisions in the Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala Oroquieta leg age-group tennis in Misamis Occidental on Monday.

Ranked third in the boys’ 16-and-under class, Tangub foiled No. 7 Lex Estillore in the finals, 6-2, 6-2. As No. 5, the Tucuran, Zamboanga del Sur native later nailed the 18-U crown with a 6-2, 6-1 romp over Roji Baulete.

Baulete stamped her class in the girls’ 16-U and 18-U divisions.
