PSL: Petron stays unscathed, turns back F2 in Finals rematch

Petron got back at F2 Logistics in a rematch of last year’s finals, 20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-19, in the 2018 Philippine Superliga Grand Prix Saturday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Imports Lindsay Stalzer and Hillary Hurley combined for 41 points for the Blaze Spikers, who kept their record unblemished at 4-0 despite playing their third game in eight days.

Stalzer and Hurley anchored Petron’s attack, but several others also made key contributions.

Rhea Dimaculangan dished out 31 excellent sets while Mika Reyes and Ces Molina scored eight points each.

Molina converted a pair of crucial hits in the fourth set. The first stopped an F2 scoring spurt while the second put Petron at match point, 24-18.

Reigning MVP Maria Perez of Venezuela led the Cargo Movers with 21 points. Kennedy Bryan added 18.
