MANILA, Philippines—Adamson repulsed Far Eastern University while La Salle thwarted Ateneo in the FCBL Dickies Cup Saturday at the Philippine Buddhacare gym in Quezon City.

Mary Penaranda split her charities but it was enough to lift Adamson to a pulsating 72-71 overtime win that enabled the Lady Falcons to exact revenge over the Lady Tamaraws who dethroned them as UAAP champion.

The win was the fifth straight for the San Marcelino-based squad while handing the Lady Tamaraws their second straight defeat in the event backed by Smart, Mang Inasal, Home Depot and Powerhouse.

La Salle, on the other hand, picked up its fourth win in five games by downing the Lady Eagles, 53-46, thanks largely to the 24-point performance of Aracelie Abaca.

Abaca also pulled down nine boards as the Lady Archers tied Centro Escolar University for second to third places with identical 4-1 records.

The Mendiola-based squad leaned on a torrid third quarter assault to pull off a 72-63 come-from-behind win over University of the East.

Nigerian Folishade Ogunsemoyin led the CEU belles with 17 points and 19 boards to clinch the Dickies Underwear Player of the Game award for the second time.
