Romeo gets best shot at elusive title as he pairs up with Castro at TNT
Over his four-year professional career, Terrence Romeo has already established himself as a certified star, being one of the most deadly scorers in the league today.
But his trade to TNT certainly signalled a huge shift for the three-time Scoring Champion, giving himself the best chance to win a championship, a feat that has eluded him in every level he has played in.

“It’s hard to tell as of now,” he said in Filipino on Wednesday after wrapping up his first practice session in his new home with the KaTropa.
“You really need to put in the work ahead of words. So for me, what’s important is what we do in practice. It’s easy to make promises, but it’s still a different thing when it comes to execution. For me, I don’t want to think about that yet and I just want to help the team and contribute in any way I can.”

It also helps that familiarity will be on his side with former FEU running mates abound the KaTropa camp, led by coach Nash Racela.

Even the management expressed excitement and likened the Romeo-Castro partnership to that of Castro and Jimmy Alapag of the old days.
Humbled with the comparisons, Romeo argued that he’s still far from matching the legacy of an Alapag or even a Castro.
“Their tandem was already proven with numerous championships. Kuya Jayson is already kuya Jayson and we know what he can do in the PBA and with the national team. So on my part, I need to be able to help him and take some of the load off of him. In my mind, that’s my job here,” he said.
As of now, all Romeo wants is to leave everything behind and put all of his focus in this new endeavor with TNT.
“My focus now is how I can help TNT and how I can grow here,” he said.
