Philippine Malditas failed to get the easy path to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, losing to Thailand, 1-3, in the last Group A match in the 2018 AFC Women’s Asian Cup Friday morning at King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman, Jordan.

Kanjana Sung-Ngoen scored a brace to put the pressure on the Filipinas. She first converted on a penalty kick in the 28th minute after Malditas’ Tahnai Annis was whistled with a handball inside the box, before sending the ball past goalkeeper Kearra Bastes-Jones once again at the 53rd minute.

Silawan Intamee made it 3-0 with another strike at the 62nd minute that certainly took the air out of the Philippine side.
