Family support spurs Belonguils to triathlon success
Siblings Earol and Rhexiel Belonguil, fast-rising triathlon stars, need not look far for inspiration.
They have their parents waiting at the finish line as they amass podium finishes in only their second year in the swim-bike-run sport.
The Cebuanos’ steady rise to success is anchored on the love and care of their family.

“Hopefully, they will continue with what they love to do and sustain their discipline,” said Harold, a seafarer for 20 years now.
Earol, the elder Belonguil at 11 years, topped the 11-12 category—a vast improvement from his seventh-place finish when he joined the event for the first time in Cebu last year.
