Ong, Ilagan run away with Orchard crown
Alexander Ong and Raul Ilagan posted a runaway victory in the 15th Orchard Founders Cup Invitational member-guest tournament of the Orchard Golf and Country Club in Dasmariñas, Cavite, recently, taking the overall crown by eight points.
Ong and Ilagan conspired for 87 points at the Palmer course then completed the job with a 52-point effort at the Player course for a 139 aggregate in the event presented by Coca-Cola.
Jay Art Tugade and Monchu Nolasco emerged the new low gross champion after solid rounds of 57 and 38 for a total of 95 points.
Article continues after this advertisementThe division titles were won by Chito Servida-Bobby Rosales in Class A, Raymundo del Rosario-Alfredo Pareja in Class B, Rosemarie Quilacio-Medardo Reyes in Class C and Willy Tee Ten-Henson Tan in Class D.

division winners of the tourney which gave away more than P5 million in prizes made possible mainly by major sponsors PLDT, Philippine Airlines, Banco de Oro VISA/CLG Acquiring, Mizuno, Sta. Lucia Realty, Kulinarya Global Corp., CATS Motors/Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai Dasmariñas. Premium hole sponsors were Air21, Asiana Airlines, Security Bank, Orchard Property Marketing and The Turf Company.
Servida-Rosales (121) won by two points over Emmanuel Ponce-Rhoneil Cousart, del Rosario-Pareja (130) beat Gualberto Lastrilla-Monsour del Rosario also by two, Quilacio-Medardo Reyes (123) was
another two-point winner over Ikuo Nishino-Yuzo Koyama and Tee Ten-Tan finished nine points ahead of Amy Dy-Michelle del Rosario.
