Dy unsatisfied with performance in national team tryouts: ‘I feel I can show more’
Kianna Dy was one of the nine of players who showed up for both days of the tryouts for the Philippine women’s national volleyball team.
The 22-year-old Lady Spiker from La Salle, however, knows that participation alone won’t give her an automatic slot into the team that will compete in the 2018 Asian Games and the 2018 AVC Asian Women’s Cup.

“Satisfied? No,” said Dy after Wednesday’s session at Arellano University Gym. “I feel that I can show more.”
The other eight players who had complete attendance are Kim Fajardo, Mary Joy Baron, Dawn Macandili, Cherry Rondina, Aby Maraño, Cha Cruz-Behag, Ara Galang, and MJ Phillips.

Dy added she wants to have one more chance to prove her worth for De Jesus even though she has played for the head coach for five years under La Salle.
De Jesus said he and the other officials at LVPI are still contemplating if they will hold another day for the tryouts, but Dy is hopeful she can showcase her talents for one more day.
“Is there another day for the tryout?” asked Dy. “Well, if there’s one more why not? If I’m given another chance, maybe.”
