Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell set for PH visit
Before he receives his potential NBA Rookie of the Year award, Donovan Mitchell is set to visit Manila on June 17.
The Utah Jazz guard will travel to the Philippines for an event organized by his sponsor adidas.
Article continues after this advertisementMitchell will drop by the adidas store in Bonifacio Global City for his first stop in the morning before going to a PBA game in the evening.
Mitchell became Utah’s face the moment former Jazz All Star Gordon Hayward left for Boston.
In a rookie class that includes Philadelphia’s Ben Simmons and the Celtics’ Jayson Tatum, Mitchell made a name for himself putting up 20.5 points, the highest among freshmen, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists during the regular season where he led the Jazz to the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 48-34 record.

Spida averaged 24.4 points, 5.9 boards, and 4.2 assists in 11 games in the postseason where the Jazz dropped Oklahoma City in six games then lost to eventual West runner-up Houston in five.
