All is well with PetroGazz after miscommunication

All’s well has ended well for PetroGazz.

After going up 1-1 in the quarterfinals of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference, the Angels found a way to resolve some issues as they prepare to snag one of the last two semifinals spot.

Captain Paneng Mercado said everything’s fine with the Angels after their four-set loss to Pocari Sweat-Air Force where things got heated between the local players and Ukrainian imports Anastasiia Trach and Olena Lymareva-Flink.

“There were just some miscommunication but everything’s been resolved,” said Mercado in Filipino on Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

The Angels, who are at the third spot of the quarterfinals standings after their 25-15, 25-17, 25-21, victory over winless Tacloban, will need to pick up the slack if they want to crack the semifinals.

Pocari-Air Force is atop the standings with a 2-0 card and its imperative for the Angels to win their remaining games to remain in contention for the last two semifinals spot.

Creamline and PayMaya finished with 6-1 and 5-2 records, respectively, after the preliminaries and have earned outright byes for the penultimate round.

Mercado added the light mood the team is in is what PetroGazz needs in the quarterfinals.

“We have great teamwork when we’re like this, there’s also the motivation so I hope this stays until the end,” said Mercado.
