NCAA: Letran returns to winning form, pounds Mapua
Letran got back to the winners’ circle after dispatching Mapua, 84-69, in the NCAA Season 94 men’s basketball tournament Friday at Filoil Flying V Centre.
The Knights, who lost to arch rival San Beda 74-68 in their previous match, improved to an 8-4 record to reinforce their hold of the third seed.

Letran and the Cardinals were locked at 19-all after the first quarter but the Knights got into formation and proceeded to trample Mapua’s defenses in the second with a 26-9 run to take a 45-28 lead heading into the break.
John Quinto proved once again that he could fill up the stat sheets after he came away with another triple-double with 11 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists for Letran.
Arvin Gamboa led the Cardinals, who own a 4-9 record, with 17 points and seven boards.
