Smart ends three-game slide
BACOOR CITY—Smart whipped Sta. Lucia, 25-23, 25-19, 25-19, to get back to the win column in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference Tuesday at Bacoor Strike Gym here.
Skipper Aiko Urdas and Jerrili Malabanan provided the spark for the Giga Hitters, who finally snapped a three-game slide.
Urdas and Malabanan dropped 13 points apiece while Joyce Sta. Rita chipped in seven hits for the Giga Hitters, who also drew five hits and 14 excellent receptions from national team member Grethcel Soltones.

“All wins are important to us right now because we’re not on top of the standings. I have yet to see the real game of my team,” Gorayeb said.
The Giga Hitters nearly played without setters as Jasmine Nabor and Angel Cayuna had academic commitments at National University and Far Eastern University, respectively.
