New girl’ gives Que inspiration
MANILA, Philippines—Angelo Que hopes to rebound from a dismal performance two weeks ago in Laguna by winning his second Philippine Open championship next week at Wack Wack’s East course.
After shooting himself in the foot with two bad rounds in the rich The Country Club Invitational, Que is gearing up to battle some of the finest on the Asian Tour and become a multiple winner of his national championship.
And he has never been more driven.

“It’s a different perspective for me,” he continued. “It is a bigger responsibility and I like having responsibilities.”
Que is the last Filipino to win the event, pulling it off in 2008 before the Open went all-Filipino for two years and Berry Henson of the United States winning it last year.
