UAAP men’s volleyball: NU wins 5th straight; Ateneo repulses Adamson
MANILA, Philippines—Defending champion National University kept within striking distance of the top spot after dismantling University of the Philippines, 25-19, 25-17, 25-15, in the UAAP Season 81 men’s volleyball tournament Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Center.
The Bulldogs won their fifth straight game and improved to a 5-1 card, just half-a-game behind leader Far Eastern University (6-0). The Fighting Maroons, meanwhile, remained woeful and dropped to 0-6.
Bryan Bagunas led the Bulldogs’ charge with 17 points while Philip Saura and Angelo Almendras had 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Antony Koyfman finished with 14 points for the Blue Eagles who stayed at the third spot with a 4-2 record.
Paolo Pablico had 11 points for the Soaring Falcions who fell to 3-3.
