World Cup champions Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris have confirmed their engagement and are set to be married by the end of the year.
The couple shared the news to People yesterday, March 13, months after their September engagement. It was also the first time that the two publicly confirmed their relationship.

Krieger said she was surprised and that she said yes because she was also thinking of a future with her. She revealed that they had been talking about having kids.
The two athletes became close after first meeting in 2010. They did not want to publicly acknowledge their relationship to avoid being a “distraction” for the team.
