Fiba 3×3 World Masters: Pasig Chooks beats Katara in impressive start for PH
MANILA, Philippines–Not to be outdone, Pasig Chooks also scored an impressive 21-14 victory over Katara of Qatar to kick off its campaign in the 2019 Fiba 3×3 World Tour Masters in Doha, Qatar.
After Balanga’s huge win earlier, Pasig Chooks made it a perfect start so far for the Philippine teams with Joshua Munzon and Taylor Statham, the country’s top 3×3 players, leading the way.

Statham finished with nine points for Pasig while Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 President’s Cup MVP Munzon added seven points.

Even with still a game left in the group stage, Pasig is already assured of a spot in the playoffs on Friday after the Katara dropped to 0-2 in Pool A. The top two in each pool move on the next round.
Pasig Chooks faces top club team Liman at 12:25 am to decide the top seeding in their pool.
