PSL: Jorelle Singh lifts PLDT over Sta. Lucia in 5 sets

MANILA, Philippines—Jorelle Singh came off the bench with two of PLDT Home Fibr’s final three points to score a come-from-behind win over Sta. Lucia Realty, 22-25, 20-25, 25-16, 25-20, 15-8, Saturday in the Philippine Superliga All Filipino Conference at Imus City Sports Complex.

Singh flicked in the winning shot to finish with 16 points as the PLDT Hitters improved their record to 1-1. The Lady Realtors dropped to 1-2.

Sta. Lucia took the first two sets but instead of stepping on it, allowed the PLDT Hitters to get back on their feet with a fresh rotation using second-stringer hitter Singh.

The fourth set was close with PLDT holding a slim 15-14 lead before Singh came through a crosscourt to spark a five-point scoring binge that opened the doors for the fifth set.
