PSL: Petron stays hot, makes quick work of PLDT

MANILA, Philippines–Defending champion Petron handily defeated an erratic PLDT, 25-19, 25-15, 25-9, Thursday to score its seventh straight win in the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at FilOil Flying V Center.

The Blaze Spikers leaned on their formidable firepower led by Sisi Rondina and Mika Reyes in posting their ninth victory in 10 starts.

Rondina scored 12 points, while Reyes had nine for the Blaze Spikers.

After the competitive opening set, PLDT lost its fire in the next two frames, allowing Petron to out-attack, 15-7, in nailing the second set.

That set paved the way to an even more lopsided third set as the Power Hitters absorbed their seventh defeat in 10 matches.
