MANILA, Philippines–Talks of a potential rematch between longtime rivals Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao have resurfaced yet again.

Mayweather on Saturday said he is “working on” the possibility of staging an “exhibition” with Pacquiao in Tokyo, Japan.

“Money May, Money May, Money May, Money May all day. Betrnk.com that’s my team in Tokyo, Japan. TMT Tokyo and of course, I’m Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. What I’m working on right now is the Mayweather-Pacquiao exhibition right here in Tokyo, Japan stay tuned,” Mayweather said.

Mayweather’s revelation came just a month after a video of the former pound-for-pound king planning a second bout with Pacquiao in Saudi Arabia made rounds on social media.

The unbeaten Mayweather, however, dismissed the clip by claiming it was an “old video.”

Mayweather beat Pacquiao by unanimous decision in their only meeting in the ring four years ago in Las Vegas.

A lot has happened since with Mayweather calling it quits after dominating Andre Berto four months after defeating Pacquiao then, coming back with a late stoppage over MMA superstar Conor McGregor two years later before announcing his retirement anew.

The McGregor fight though, wasn’t the last ring appearance of Mayweather, who did an outrageous three-round boxing exhibition with Japanese kickboxing champion Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018 in Saitama, Japan where he reportedly cashed in an easy $9 million payday.

Pacquiao, on the other hand, made his way back to the top of the welterweight division after winning five of his next six fights, including an impressive victory over a much younger Keith Thurman for the WBA (Super) title in July.
