Tigers-Tamaraws up first as UAAP stepladder showdown begins
MANILA, Philippines—After Ateneo’s 14-0 sweep earned an outright ticket to the UAAP Season 82 finals, three teams are left to battle it out for the remaining slot in the championship round.
No. 4 University of Santo Tomas and No. 3 Far Eastern University kick off the stepladder playoffs in the Final Four with a knockout battle on November 6, 4 pm at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The winner between UST and FEU faces second seed University of Philippines, which holds a twice-to-beat advantage in that match up scheduled for November 10.
In case of an upset from the lower seed team, a rubber match will be played on November 13, 4 pm at Mall of Asia Arena.
The Finals between three-peat-seeking Blue Eagles and an opponent yet to determined begin on November 16, 4 pm at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Game 2 is on November 20 and, if necessary, Game 3 on November 23 at MOA Arena.
The highly-anticipated UAAP Season 82 Cheerdance Competition takes center stage in between Games 1 and 2 scheduled on Nov. 17 Sunday at MOA Arena at 2 pm.
