MANILA, Philippines—ONE Championship is staging four fight cards behind closed doors amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The promotion will stage Hope, Strength, Dreams, and Inspiration on April 17, April 24, May 1, and May 8, respectively all in Singapore.

ONE already held a closed-door event at Singapore’s Indoor Stadium with ONE: King of the Jungle in February when COVID-19 was just starting to raise major concerns.

ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong expressed his gratitude to Singapore for allowing the promotion to continue on despite the pandemic.

“COVID-19 is an excellent example of how great Singapore is. It is literally leading the entire world in containment of the virus through process, policy, vigilance, execution, and transparency,” said Sityodtong whose company is based in the Lion City.

“With so much uncertainty surrounding the global economy during the pandemic, it’s good to see that ONE can continue to create jobs and opportunities.”

Apart from the four events, Sityodtong also announced that The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition will start in the second half of 2020 with the ultimate prize a $250,000 contract job under the tutelage of ONE’s boss.
