NBA legend Charles Barkley tests negative for COVID-19

NBA legend Charles Barkley has reportedly tested negative for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Barkley had himself checked after he developed flu-like symptoms after traveling across the country.
“I’d like to thank everyone for reaching out and expressing your concern and support. You all be safe and please take the necessary actions to help ensure your well-being,” the 57-year-old Barkley said in a statement.
Ten NBA players, including injured superstar Kevin Durant, have been infected with the virus.
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert was the first confirmed case in the NBA. The news about Gobert’s positive test forced the league to suspend its season indefinitely.
Barkley, who was named NBA MVP in 1993, is considered one of the greatest power forwards in NBA history despite being listed at 6-foot-5.
He played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns and the Houston Rockets. He’s been working as an NBA analyst for Turner Sports since 2000.
