Pacquiao pays homage to Mosley’s late trainer Naazim Richardson
MANILA, Philippines — The boxing world on Friday mourned the death of another great trainer in Naazim Richardson.
Richardson, who trained the likes of Bernard Hopkins and Shane Mosley, has reportedly died after a long illness. He was 55.
Article continues after this advertisementFilipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao was among those who paid homage to the Philadelphia native on social media.
“God bless the memory of Naazim Richardson. My prayers go out to his family,” Pacquiao tweeted.

Richardson worked the corner for Mosley in his world title fight against Pacquiao in 2011.
Pacquiao beat Mosley by unanimous decision to retain the WBO welterweight crown.
“I can’t talk or post about it right now. Need some time to pull together. Thank you. Rest In Peace my brother,” Mosley posted on Instagram Story.
Last March, Roger Mayweather, a two-division champion and uncle and trainer of Floyd Mayweather Jr., also died.
