Waves seek 2nd win vs Rising Suns
THE START to the PBA D-League Foundation Cup has been far from ideal for Boracay Rum, but Waves coach Lawrence Chongson hopes a recent victory will rev up their playoff ambitions.
One of the pre-tournament favorites, the Waves gun for back-to-back wins today when they face Cagayan Rising Suns at the Trinity University of Asia Gym.
Maddeningly inconsistent, Boracay Rum lost its first three games, but there were plenty of encouraging signs last week when the Waves finally broke through with a 64-60 nipping of Junior Powerade.

Like the Waves, the Erasers (1-3) are hoping to stay in the thick of the fight for the playoffs. The four bottom teams will be booted out of contention after the elimination round.

Made up of players from the University of the Philippines, the Tigers, with a 2-2 mark, will look to bounce back from the loss to the Waves with Mike Silungan, Arvin Padilla and Mark Lopez expected to carry the fight.
