Alaska guard Galliguez rushed to hospital after bad fall

MANILA, Philippines—Alaska guard Abel Galliguez was rushed to the hospital following a nasty fall during the PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals game between the Aces and TNT on Saturday.

He was brought out of Angeles University Foundation on an ambulance as the Aces bowed out of the playoffs after a 104-83 loss.

Galliguez went up to defend Tropang Giga wingman Bobby Ray Parks Jr. but the two collided midair with Galliguez falling awkwardly resulting in a busted forehead with 9:47 left to play in the fourth quarter.

He was carted out of the court on a wheelchair before boarding the waiting ambulance.

Galliguez played for five minutes in the playoff setback.
