Fil-Am guard Remy Martin declares for NBA Draft
MANILA, Philippines—Arizona State guard Remy Martin officially declared for the 2021 NBA Draft after spending four years with the Pac-12 school.
In a Facebook video, Martin thanked the Sun Devils management and the school’s administration for the years he’s spent in Phoenix.
Article continues after this advertisement“I just want to let you guys know that I’m extremely thankful for the four years that you guys have been supporting me. I want you guys to know that I will be pursuing my NBA dreams,” said the Filipino-American guard.
Martin, as a senior, led the Sun Devils in scoring averaging 19.1 points on 43.3 percent shooting from the field and 34.6% from deep.

Article continues after this advertisementThe 6-foot guard initially applied for the NBA Draft in 2020 but withdrew to play one more year under head coach Bobby Hurley, himself a former college standout for Duke in the late 80s and early 90s.
“I want to say thank you to coach Hurley and his staff for allowing me to be myself, allowing me to play my game,” said Martin. “I also want to thank my parents, my family, you guys have been supporting me throughout the years and you guys will always be there for me.”
“I want to thank [Athletic Director] Ray Anderson and President Michael Crow for just allowing me to be myself, allowed me to be in the community, and just have fun and enjoy college. I just want you guys to know that you know I love you guys and Sun Devil for life.”
Martin led Arizona Sate to an 11-14 record for an eighth place finish in the 2020-21 Pac-12 season.
