Trade to ‘favorite team’ San Miguel dream come true for Vic Manuel

MANILA, Philippines—Vic Manuel went from rooting for San Miguel Beer as a kid to playing for the Beermen.
Manuel was traded to San Miguel on Monday and couldn’t stop himself from feeling giddy about the next chapter of his basketball career.
“My favorite team growing up! #dreamteam,” he posted on social media Monday just hours after news about his move to the Beermen was announced.

The deal came just days after Manuel was shipped by Phoenix to NorthPort, which then sent him to San Miguel in exchange for Arwind Santos.
Interestingly, Santos is also one of the players Manuel has idolized.
The 34-year-old bruiser also posted a picture of his practice jersey.
