PSC trains sights on Rizal, PhilSports reopening

/ 05:10 AM November 13, 2021

Already opening several bubble training venues in various places around the country, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) is looking to reopen familiar training spaces.

The PSC is looking to finally make use of facilities at Rizal Memorial Sports Complex (RMSC) and PhilSports to allow national athletes to return to their training grounds.

Among the facilities being eyed for reopening are the building that houses billiards, wushu and judo inside the RMSC, the track and field oval, swimming and diving pools and other training halls and dormitories at PhilSports.

The PSC has also supervised the transfer of sports equipment to local government units, especially those hosting the bubble trainings of Team Philippines, like Baguio City and Cebu City.

The government sports arm has also issued a stern warning to national athletes to strictly follow protocols after reprimanding one of them for a minor breach recently.

Officials warned national athletes that any serious breach in protocol, such as leaving the confines of their bio-secure environments, would result in expulsion from the national roster.
