PBA: New import Shawn Glover cleared to suit up for Blackwater
MANILA, Philippines—Blackwater officially replaced big man Jaylen Bond with Shawn Glover as the team tries to break from its slump in the 2021-22 PBA Governors’ Cup.
The Bossing were on a 0-5 start with Bond in tow and now they hope Glover could turn their fortunes around once the league resumes in the first week of February.
Article continues after this advertisementGlover, who had his height checked at the PBA Office on Wednesday, got his clearance to play after he was measured at 6-foot-5 1/4, well under the 6-foot-6 limit for the conference.
Bossing head coach Ariel Vanguardia, as per PBA.ph, said Glover is already getting acquainted with his new teammates as they prepare to end their losing streak.
The 31-year-old Glover last played in the Icelandic Basketball Association wherein he led the league in scoring with 26.2 points a game for Tindastoll.

The Dallas native played for University of Utah in his first two years in college before transferring and playing for Oral Roberts University from 2012 to 2014.
