B.League: Thirdy Ravena returns, helps San-En clip Ray Parks’ Nagoya
MANILA, Philippines—Thirdy Ravena had a successful return, helping San-En beat Bobby Ray Parks Jr. and Nagoya, 85-82, in the West Conference of the 2021-22 Japan B.League season at Dolphins Arena in Aichi.
The NeoPhoenix, who are at the bottom of the conference, improved to 6-30 while the Diamond Dolphins dropped to 21-10 but stayed at the third spot in the ladder.
Article continues after this advertisementElias Harris led San-En with 26 points and 10 rebounds while Matsuwaki Yoshiyuki added 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting from deep.
Ravena had 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting off the bench.

Shayne Whittington had 13 points and nine boards to lead the Diamond Dolphins while Parks had nine points and six boards.
While Ravena had a nice return, the same couldn’t be said for Dwight Ramos as he suffered the opposite fate with Toyama losing to Osaka, 76-66, at Ookini Arena Maishima.
The loss sent the Grouses to a 16-23 record at the seventh seed in the West while Osaka improved to 15-20 in the same conference.
Brice Johnson led Toyama with 16 points and 13 rebounds while Joshua Smith had his own double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Ramos pitched in nine points and five rebounds in his first game back from playing for Gilas with Ravena in the 2023 Fiba Basketball World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
Shiga and Kiefer Ravena got bludgeoned, 103-56, against East power Kawasaki in their inter-conference matchup at Kawasaki Todoroki Arena in Kanagawa.
Nick Gadson had 13 points and five rebounds for the Lakestars who fell to 10-22 card in the West.
Kiefer struggled from the field with five points, on 2-of-9 shooting, with three rebounds and three assists.
Niigata and Kobe Paras fell to Tokyo, 93-64, in its East Conference matchup at City Hall Plaza Ao-re Nagaoka.
Rosco Allen led the Albirex BB with 20 points and 10 rebounds as they dropped to a conference-worst 5-32.
Paras had six points on the loss.
