NCAA: Lyceum gets first win at expense of JRU
MANILA, Philippines–Enoch Valdez provided the spark Lyceum needed to score its first win in four games, beating Jose Rizal, 82-75, Wednesday in the NCAA Season 97 men’s basketball at La Salle Greenhills Gym.
The flashy guard picked up 20 points mostly in transition from the hustle that he helped create as the Pirates finally lit up the standings at the expense of the Heavy Bombers who fell to their fourth defeat in as many games.

But Valdez ignited a comeback, scoring most in the third quarter blitz that gave the Pirates a 53-45 lead. And in the fourth, when Jose Rizal was trying to comeback via Jason Celis, Valdez once against took to action with successive layups for a 78-63 buffer two minutes left.
