Bradley proves INQUIRER.net pollsters wrong
MANILA, Philippines – American boxer Timothy Bradley proved the majority of INQUIRER.net readers wrong when he stole the WBO welterweight title from Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao who, according to the news website’s informal survey, would win over the American fighter.
In a survey conducted before this Sunday’s (Saturday in the US) fight between Bradley and Pacquiao, 55. 8 percent or 1, 207 readers predicted Pacquiao would win by a knockout to the poll question: “What do you think will be the outcome of the Pacquiao-Bradley fight on June 9?”
The poll also showed that 18.96 percent or 410 votes believed that Pacquiao would win via decision.
Only 546 votes or 25.24 percent predicted that Bradley could beat Pacquiao. But Bradley stunned the world when he did via split decision.
